SUBJECT: DISTRICT BUSINESS MEETING AND RESOLUTIONS
The document links in the left column point to the materials to hold elections to consider resolutions submitted by clubs for the 2010/2011 District Business Meeting. This website page is mostly a copy of the Cover Letter.
Each of these resolutions were submitted by one of the clubs in our District for your consideration at the April 9, 2011 meeting.
You will see in the material that there are two different types of voting procedures to be uses. One is a voice vote where all present may participate. The second is a vote only of those selected as electors and certified by the club President and Secretary and for which an official form declaring their status has been signed and delivered to the District Secretary at the time of the meeting.
It is critical that each club select their electors, properly certify them, and have them in attendance at the meeting. Only the electors will be allowed to vote on the items requiring a secret ballot.
The Resolutions Committee has a responsibility to report on the effect of the resolution and will do so.
