Welcome The Global Eagles to District 5240

We would like to welcome the newly chartered Eclub of Global Service District 5240, or as they call themselves, "The Global Eagles!" The club was officially recognized and chartered on May 8, 2015.

 

The focus of this club will be on Rotary education and a balance of community and international focus and projects.

 

The chartering president is Kurt Valentin, of Guatemala, with the incoming president and PDG from our district Marc Vertin, now living in Indiana.

 

The Club chartered with 31 new members (from four states, also the countries of Guatemala, Chile, and Canada), with a special thanks to PP Dick Strayer, Wendy Campanella, Allan Pacela, and Wade Nomura.

 

The chartering celebration was held in conjunction with the stepdown festivities of the Rotary Club of Carpinteria Morning, who was the sponsoring club.

 

On hand to welcome in the representatives of the newly chartered club were District Governor (and chartering Governor) Loretta Butts, Governor Elect Jim Bell, Governor Nominee Nick Frankle, Governor Designate John Weiss and Past Governor Wade Nomura, who served as the District's Special Representative in chartering the club.
