The Rotary Club of Cambria is the International Partner for Global Grant # 2460204, to work with the Host Rotary Club of Lezha, Albania, to equip the Lezha Regional Hospital with an Ophthalmology Unit and to train hospital staff in the use of the ophthalmology equipment. The Lezha Regional Hospital currently serves a population 220 thousand inhabitants and has been lacking in this vital equipment and thus and been unable to provide adequate care. Participating D-5240 Rotary Clubs include Cambria, Westlake Village, Ventura, Moorpark, Solvang and Santa Maria Breakfast. The Global Grant has been approved and the plan is for the equipment to begin to be installed by the end of April, 2025.
