The Rotary Club of Camarillo recently donated $7,000 to FoodShare of Ventura County to help feed people in need during the Covid19 pandemic.

The funds are being used to purchase thousands of cardboard boxes for food items being distributed at community pop-ups. This is the largest grant that Camarillo Rotary has given FoodShare.

As part of the project, 15 Rotarians went to the FoodShare facility and filled enough boxes to feed 336 families.  For further information on FoodShare, see www.foodshare.com.  Rotary is a volunteer organization providing humanitarian services and building goodwill in communities around the world under the motto “Service Above Self”.  Camarillo Rotary meets Wednesday at noon; see www.camarillorotary.org.
