October 24, 2025 marked World Polio Day. This year's focus is on "End Polio: Every Child, Every Vaccine, Everywhere," highlighting the importance of universal vaccination for eradicating polio worldwide. This message reinforces that eradication can only occur when every child receives the vaccine, underscoring the need for equal access and ongoing commitment.

To contribute toward the aim of eliminating Polio for good, Cambria Rotary organized its 3rd Annual 5K Walk/Run to End Polio on Saturday, October 11. Thanks to the generosity of many, we raised $12,500 for Rotary International’s PolioPlus Fund. This amount will be increased to $37,500 through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s kind 2-to-1 match. With the cost of vaccinating a child being around $3, our collective efforts will allow for the vaccination of over 12,500 children against this terrible illness.
