The Rotary Club of Fillmore sponsors a service initiative called the Dictionary Project. Through this program, each student receives their own personal dictionary filled with valuable information, including the longest word in the English language, state flowers, U.S. presidential history, and much more. Our Rotarians, along with members of the local sheriff’s department, help guide the students in learning how to use their dictionaries effectively. The best part? The children get to take their dictionaries home—and their smiles say it all.
