On International Peace Day 09/21/24, the Rotary Club of Fillmore held a meaningful event in front of our City Hall. The program focused on the importance of peace in our world. It featured several speakers and a moving violin performance of Let There Be Peace on Earth. The event was both touching and inspiring.
As part of the program, we honored the late Ernie Morales, a beloved member of our community. Ernie served as Mayor of Fillmore three times, was a dedicated Rotarian, and a tireless advocate for our city. In recognition of his many contributions, we presented an award to his widow. It was a heartfelt tribute to a man who truly made a difference.
