The Fillmore Rotary is proud to support youth leadership through the RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) Scholarship, which officially launched in early May. This scholarship provides high school students with the opportunity to attend a dynamic leadership camp, where they develop essential skills in teamwork, communication, and service. By investing in the next generation of leaders, Rotary continues its commitment to empowering youth and strengthening our community’s future.
On May 7, the students selected to participate in the RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) program shared their experiences with our group. Each of them spoke about the valuable lessons they learned, the friendships they built, and the personal growth they experienced during the program. They highlighted how RYLA helped them step out of their comfort zones, develop stronger leadership skills, and gain a better understanding of teamwork and service. Many of the students expressed how the program changed their outlook on life and inspired them to become more involved in their communities. It was clear from their stories that RYLA had a lasting and meaningful impact on their lives.
