The Rotary Club of Carpinteria Morning is working to prioritize increased diversity as it seeks new members. “We hope to bring in both younger members and people with different backgrounds, including from Carpinteria’s large Hispanic community,” said Eric von Schrader, the club’s Membership Chair. This effort is beginning to pay off. In the past year, new members have included a Hispanic educator and musician, a physician from Norway, and a recent transplant to the area from England. We serve all people, all nationalities and all ages.
