The Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunrise partnered with the Rotary Club of Celaya Nat-Tha-Hi to support a free eye surgery campaign at Clinic Beatriz Velazco de Aleman in Celaya, Mexico. Sunrise members LuzMaria Ortiz, PDG and E. Russell Smith volunteered at the two-day clinic with Nat-Tha-Hi Rotarians, checking in and welcoming patients, transporting them to and from the OR, helping in the recovery room, and more. During their visit, they saw firsthand the new photocoagulator funded, in part, by our club, which significantly improves the efficiency of eye treatments at the clinic.
