Nearly 100 elementary school children in San Luis Obispo received brand-new winter clothing at the Rotary Club of San Luis Obispo de Tolosa’s 28th annual ChildSpree event. Held on December 7, 2024, at Kohl’s, Rotarians and volunteers paired with children to shop for essential items like coats, shoes, and socks, helping families who struggle with the high cost of clothing during the holidays.
“This event is about dignity and confidence,” said Geoff Straw, ChildSpree Coordinator. “Choosing their own new clothes gives kids a boost in self-esteem and readiness for school and life.”
