On Friday, June 4th our Rotary Club gathered both in person and via Zoom to celebrate our 50th Anniversary!  We were pleased to have Past District Governor Deb Linden attend via Zoom and say a few words about this special event. We all lifted our champagne glasses in a toast to what we believe is “The Very Best Rotary Club”.  Each attendee, whether in person or via Zoom, were given a “bling box” with a bottle of champagne, a cupcake, bag of pretzels and a special 50th Anniversary pin.

There were stories of days gone by presented by Tom Tierney, who has been with the club since the beginning and is still a valued member. Two of our members, Linda Sherman and Nancy Bennett, spent hours looking through old newspapers for articles about some of our past activities which were made into a slide show.

All the hours dedicated to making our meetings hybrid allowed us to gather together virtually and in person to celebrate 50 years of the Rotary Club of Cambria!
