An interactive presentation on how to build an emergency kit that can sustain a family for at least three days was given by Sgt Joe Preciado, a 32- year veteran of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Dept, hosted by the Rotary Club of Ojai.
Attendees wrote answers to questions about what they would need most in certain emergency scenarios, and worked with each other in small groups. All were given a flyer on building an emergency kit from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Dept of Emergency Services.
A new awareness and call to action on what we and community members need to do to be prepared was a result of this informative session.
