During this holiday season the Rotary Club of Nipomo was able to collaborate with several other service clubs in our area to provide service to our community.

On November 22 the entire community came together to provide a free Thanksgiving dinner to all Nipomo residents. Due to Covid this was our second year in a row to offer a drive-up meal but we still managed to serve 1000 dinners. Our club responsibility was to cook and carve the turkeys.

We also carved 59 turkeys for the Pismo Beach Police Department on Thanksgiving Eve. The PBPD serves the homeless a Thanksgiving dinner every year and we have been honored to work with them for many Thanksgivings.

On December 4 several members of the club volunteered their time and brawn to help side a barn for the Jack Ready Park's Equestrian area. The park is being constructed to accommodate children with disabilities. Other Rotary clubs as well as other service clubs and youth organizations participated and the project was completed in record time.

On December 7 the Rotary Club of Nipomo and the Lions Club of Nipomo joined forces  to adopt a day to provide lunch for 400 athletes and volunteers at the annual AmpSurf event. This is a week long International event that gives veteran amputees a chance to ride the waves with assistance from volunteers.  It has been an honor to work with all these dedicated volunteers.
