At Simi Sunrise Rotary, service isn't just something we do — it's who we are. Over the past year, our club has been hard at work making a real impact in our community through a wide range of service projects and events. From supporting those in need to beautifying our neighborhoods, we are proud to stand alongside our incredible volunteers to make a difference right here in Simi Valley.
One of our most heartwarming events was our Bike Building for Underprivileged Children. There’s nothing quite like seeing a child’s face light up when they receive their very first bike. Thanks to the hard work and generosity of our members and partners, dozens of kids now have a new way to ride, explore, and simply enjoy being kids.
Our commitment to serving the homeless community continues through the PADS Program, where we provide movies, a place to sleep at night, care, and compassion to those experiencing homelessness. Each volunteer who participates helps us remind our guests that they are seen, valued, and not alone.
We’ve also rolled up our sleeves for some good old-fashioned elbow grease with our Local Freeway Cleanup efforts. It’s amazing what a group of passionate volunteers can do in just a few hours to keep our community clean and beautiful.
Health and wellness are close to our hearts, which is why our Blood Drives have been such a critical part of our outreach. Every pint donated helps save lives, and we’re grateful for all who turned out to give the gift of life.
In a moving display of honor and gratitude, we’ve partnered with Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) to present Quilts for Veterans, recognizing the brave men and women who have served our country. These handmade quilts are a small but powerful symbol of the appreciation and respect we hold for our veterans.
And that’s just scratching the surface. From holiday food drives to student mentorship programs, Simi Sunrise Rotary is constantly finding new ways to uplift our community.
Of course, none of this would be possible without our incredible volunteers. They are the heart of every project, every event, and every smile we help create. Their time, energy, and compassion are what keep our Rotary wheel turning.
