In it's 3rd year, Career Day at Pacific High, hosted and organized by Rotary Club of Ventura brings over 25 professionals to campus to share their career with small groups of students. Speakers include Rotarians, Chamber Members, representatives from City Government like our City Manager and Deputy Mayor, and more.
Students take an interest survey to help match them with 3 professions of their interest. The represented professions typically provide well paid entry level opportunities with growth potential. Training and education needed as well as additional resources are discussed. Students report that the day helps them learn more about fields they may not have explored before.
