In celebration of Earth Day, Rotaract Club of Bakersfield, Interact Club of Centennial High School(Twilight Rotary Club of Bakersfield) and Interact Club of Golden Valley High School(Bakersfield Breakfast RC) teamed up for Keep Bakersfield Beautiful’s Great American Clean-Up on Saturday, April 21st.
Together, they collected and removed debris near Golden Valley High alongside Northbound Highway 99 where they were met with overwhelming support from local residents. The three clubs collected several bags of litter and a variety of large items to assist the City of Bakersfield in making sure of its proper disposal.
In an exemplary showing of Rotary fellowship, the three clubs then celebrated with a lunch social at Yokuts Park near Downtown Bakersfield.
