December is Disease Prevention & Treatment Month.

Here it is - December!  By the end of this month our Rotary year will be half over. Please take a moment and think about your achievements and what you still want to accomplish in the next half of our year.

December is a month of many Holidays – enjoy the Holidays with your family and friends and be safe, as the pandemic is still here, unfortunately. I want to wish you all Happy & Safe Holidays!

In Rotary, December is the month of “Disease Prevention & Treatment”. These days public health is on everyone’s minds. We have a better understanding of what a virus can do and many people have been hit hard. Let’s continue to help where we can.

Fighting diseases is one of Rotary’s seven areas of focus - Rotarians around the world have been doing it for decades. Please continue to support the Polio Plus Campaign as we are so close to eradicating this terrible virus that is attacking and crippling children.

We believe in Rotary that access to good health care is a human right and we try to help people to get such access by providing assistance in projects such as clubfoot operations in Honduras, heart surgeries in El Salvador or Romania, wheelchairs for Ukraine or Colombia, and cleft palate surgeries, dental care, eye glasses and more.

Please remember to register ASAP for our District Conference & Foundation Gala in Santa Barbara on January 28-30.  You won’t want to miss our special guest speakers, PRLS clinic, club project and vendor displays, fellowship, live entertainment, and more!

The last day for the early registration discount for the 2022 Rotary Convention in Houston is December 15!  The Convention will be held June 4-8, 2022.

As we are approaching the end of the year, please see if you can make one more donation and get a tax deduction – and remember the Rotary Foundation Annual Fund!

Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!
