Global Grants are more complicated than Matching Grants and require more advanced preparation.  As you plan your global have you:
  • considered whether your grant will fund a humanitarian project, vocational training, or a scholarship (or a combination of those activities)?
  • aligned your activity with the goals of an area of focus and planned for how you will measure your impact in that area?
  • identified three Rotarians from your club or district, and three more Rotarians from an international club or district, to oversee the entire grant process—including application, implementation, and reporting?
  • identified specific roles and responsibilities that will be performed by the primary sponsors, cooperating organization (if applicable), and beneficiaries?
  • developed an itemized budget of expenses and identified contributions for the grant financing? If applicable, have you confirmed the availability of district funds with your district officers?
  • ensured that the outcomes of your humanitarian project or vocational training will be sustainable far into the future, mindful of the six sustainability practices for global grants?

You will answer all of these questions as you complete the District 5240 Global Grants Application
